Groupon refunds

I bought a voucher for a phone cover from Groupon. I paid £9 and when the deal started I went onto the website to place the order. However, even though I designed the cover, placed the order and submitted it, something has gone wrong because I realised that the goods were taking a long time to come through the post. I checked the Groupon site to find that the voucher had expired! I then checked the retailer website to find that the phone cover was in the 'saved' mode and not submitted. I remember entering my card details but cannot remember clicking submit. I have checked my bank and no payment has been made. I contacted Groupon to explain and ask for a voucher for a future deal but they are refusing to refund or replace as the voucher is expired. What do I do now? Thanks.

It's not really groupon's fault you didn't press submit on the website. Your best bet will be to speak to the company involved and explain what happened. They may honour the voucher if you're lucky.

just email groupon asking for a refund - it you want groupon credit (rather than money back in account) then they seem to just do this without no questions.
