Easyjet - worth complaining?

I was 2 minutes late for the gate closing for an easyjet flight to cologne on Saturday morning. They would not let us on even though they did not do a final call in the teminal and the plan sat there for another 20 minutes before going to take off... and we had crying children with us :-(
Has this happened to anyone else?
Am i wasting my time writing a letter? - i know Easyjet are a bunch of cowboys anyway

If you were late i don't think there's any way you could get anything out of complaining, though I do understand what you're saying. Unfortunately I don't think there's anything you can do0

It's likely that the plane sat there for 20 minutes as your luggage would have needed to been removed and the crew would have needed to update the paperwork on the number of passengers flying ect. I'm so sick of arrogant, late passengers who think the whole world revolves around them and a whole plane load of people can wait for them while they finish off their glass of wine/shopping/important phone call etc. Everyone else managed to arrive on time, so why didn't you? Oh and please don't invent a sob story about needing to get there for a funeral, because if you needed to get on that plane you would have arrived on time. My sympathy lies with the other passengers on the plane who were delayed, not you.0

I think the majority of you are being ridiculously harsh and quite frankly out of order. She has asked a simple question.
Unfortunately, I doubt that a letter would achieve anything other than you wasting money on a stamp. I understand your frustration but I don't think theres much you can do on this occasion, maybe next time set off 3 minutes earlier :P0 -
id say waste of time , you were late and they have to have a cut off time
most people will be standing in line 45mins before boarding , any reason you thought you could swan up late and get special treatment?
and call them what you will , but any other airline would be the same , if they waited 3 mins for you , someone else would think they can saunter up 10 mins late and still get on ..and so on0 -

you say no final boarding call were the other 100 odd passengers also late or where they sat on the plane, if the answer is they were sat on the plane then you were late.0

Do they even do final calls as Cologne airport? Many don't nowdays, they, not unreasonably, expect passengers to be able to get themselves to the gate on the time clearly stated on their boarding card.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
