seller dashboard query

I have just noticed that whereas a few days ago I have 5/5 for each item on the seller dashboard, the score for p&p charges has now gone down to 4.9.

I have 15 ratings for p&p. It is over a year since I charged for p&p (offered free for the few items I sold) however last week I did sell some tableware which I advertised at £5.30 postage (standard parcels) however by the time I had packed it all up very carefully, the postage came to £8.80! My fault totally!

So aren't I right in thinking that the buyer of my tableware has marked me down for p&p charge?

Yes you are right - your average DSR rating could only have dropped suddenly due to a low DSR rating being left recently.

Yes, it seems £5.30 was too much to ask for £8.80 postage. Maybe if you had sent them freepost and given away the tableware for nothing, your buyer might have been slightly more generous... but only slightly! :D

Did you use gold plated cellotape? If not, then that's probably why you didn't get 5*.

Best to stick to free postage, that way arrogant idiots can't wreck your star ratings for no good reason!

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
