need some advice please

Hi everyone hope someone could offer me a bit of help here , well recently I placed an order with a website called newyorkdress.com I received the dress last monday I was very disappointed with the condition of the dress as it had some sequins missing and wrong color , the dress was for a very important event which is this saturday the 15th I contacted the website they asked me to take some pictures I did now they want me to return the dress they have managed a DHL pickup from their side and wants me to send it back once they receive it they will issue a refund I'm fine with that but I have been struggling all week to find another dress I'm going through so much stress right now I can't believe that I put so much trust on their website and that's what I get, now my query is I can take it to clothing alteration if they can repair it for me so could I ask them to give me 50% off if I do keep the dress ? or I have no other option ?

No buyer has a right to a part refund and a seller can insist item is returned for a full refund.
