Redspottedhanky app - and why I'll never use it again

Hi MSEers,
I've just had to email the following complaint to Redspottedhanky about their app. Has anyone else found it to be defective? And their helpline is useless!
Will keep you updated if they come back to me....
"I would like to complain about a recent transaction I made using your app.
I bought a ticket using your app as I had e-voucher credit. At no point was I offered the option to use this credit, nor did the app warn me I couldn't.
I assumed I would need to use my credit card to pick up the ticket from the machine so entered my details and was surprised when it then turned out that I had been charged. There was no warning that my card would be charged before the transaction went through.
So I called your helpline and was told, most unhelpfully, that you couldn't refund from the app and let me use the credit I have with you instead.
I was told to complain in writing. So here's my complaint - you have an app that doesn't perform the functions of your website with no warnings that it doesn't. You charged my credit card without informing me that I couldn't use my e-voucher credit with you. You don't even have a service for sorting out this issue with your app afterwards - and you can't resolve this complaint over the phone.
And on top of all this, if I access your website on my phone, it continally redirects to get you to download the app and use that instead.
As it stands, I am out of pocket - the first time I try to use your service. I have e-vouchers that expire at the end of the month and no more journeys planned.
For all your marketing efforts (the reason why I was using you to start with) there's no point if your service doesn't stand up to scrutiny of actual use.
In conclusion, I would like to request one of the following.
Either refund my costs onto my credit card OR give me an e-voucher to that amount with a reasonable expiry date."

Good luck with your complaint, unfortunately TBH I think RSH will fob you off with some sob story about it's your responsibility to tick boxes or select the correct payment option.
If this happens and therefore you're not happy with this outcome, you could consider a credit card chargeback against RSHWhoa! This image violates our terms of use and has been removed from view0 -

and such commiting fraud as the OP will have used the service.
The OP never stated whether they used the tickets, anyway how would it be fraud, when RSH have the value of the tickets already in the OP's account in the form of vouchers?Whoa! This image violates our terms of use and has been removed from view0
