Best time to book cheap flights to Goa in late january?

I'd like to know if its cheaper to book flights well in advance or last minute to Goa - I'm looking at prices of return flight to Goa going on around 17th / 18th january and returning around 19th february.
Current cheapest price is Ive found is 548 with Southall travel / air india. Jet airways comes in t 590.
Does anyone know if these prices go up or down between now and january?
