What fuel do they use? Electricity? Then go for a value convector heater costing £10 each at many stores. Don't like the large variations in temperature that they tend to create then spend a little more on the cheapest oil filled radiator you can find. Want instant and direct focused heat? Then spend some money on a halogen heater.

Look at the features you want. A thermostat is quite important. What about a timer? You can buy a timer for less than £2 from pound stores rather than having it built into the heater. How about a few different settings? A 3kw heater may have an option for 3 settings such as 1kw/2kw and 3kw which will reduce the consumption once the room has reached your desired temperature.

Whatever you do just go for the cheapest there is no extra savings on running costs to be made by buying an expensive heater apart from the looks.
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p
  • Ummmm not quite sure what happy is on today ??

I guess by changing rads it's a normal heating system ? Just go for the ones you like the look of, the nicest looking ones IMO are the ones with top & side grills, but tbh a rad is a rad there isn't much diff between any of them
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.
