Carpeting the stairs

Hello

I am thinking of having the stairs redone. The carpet we like is £150psqm but there is a site that does remnants a lot lot cheaper

When doing a stair carpet, does it have to be continuous or can we fit a step at a time? To make full use of the remnant.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: to the price then asking about remnants!

Yes,you can fit it stair by stair -just do it properly. It's meant to be safer and in my opinion looks neater. It also means that not only can you just replace a damaged/worn bit rather than lifting an entire carpet, but it's one hell of a lot cheaper!

Yes, the trouble with £150psqm is that it will be £2,000 for the stairs and landing which is a luxury I dont need to fork out for. But I think, remnant at a time, I could do it for a fraction of the cost (£500). I just didnt want to buy it and find it can only or should only be done as a full stair.
