HB - who should claim

in Housing benefit help
Hi. My partner is looking after our child and I have full time work. We are living together. Is there any difference who will be claiming HB?

    Only the person (or persons) named on the tenancy agreement can claim for HB. However, you will be assessed as a couple anyway. If you are in full time work you would not normally expect to get full HB. When you claim you should also include a claim for Council Tax Benefit
