I work for a Local Authority rather than the NHS but am amazed at the amount of sick leave some people take. Having been a person who, when working for a private company didn't have any sick leave for 4-5year stretches I am, sadly coming around to the mindset of 'ooh let's just take a day off sick because I can!'. Sad but true but there appears very little incentive not to when it seems some people really take the pee with their sick leave.0
