Barclaycard taking money from barclays account.

Hi all hope this is the right section.
I had a dept with egg last year that was taken on by UK Search.
Anyway they offered me a deal to clear the dept which i did.. sorted.
So 1 year on barclaycard sent me a letter basically saying they have just taken over 400 quid outa my barclays account for the dept as they took over egg!!!
Anyway after loads of phone calls, emails, letters some fella at barclaycard actually bothered to phone UK Search who confirmed that i had indeed payed them to end the debt so he got it payed back to me finally!

So would i be entitled to some sort of compensation because as i see it they basically stole that money from me without even asking for anything via letter beforehand?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

No, get over it............

Saying that, you could ask them for something to cover phone calls, etc. You may get a few quid out of them that way. Which, I might add, I totally agree with, there is no reason for yu to be actually out of pocket.

Just check your credit file to make sure that things are as they should be.
