Getting cash fromATMs in Sydney

Going to Sydney to see family over Xmas/NY.
Have Halifax Clarity and SAGA credit cards.
Research shows that ATM charges will apply for drawing cash on these cards, so will it be best to take AUD from the UK or stump up for the ATM charges?
Anyone know what the ATM charges will be?

There aren't any ATM charges for the Clarity, just interest. Depending on which one you use you might get a $2 fee from the ATM itself but there are lots around that don't charge (I can't remember the main brand that didn't charge though - NAB maybe?).0

Yes, I realise that Clarity/SAGA will not charge.
I want to, if possible, avoid or get cheapest ATM charge.0 -
Hi. I was in Sydney and Melbourne last Christmas and I used my Norwich and Peterborough Debit Card for ATM cash and my Halifax clarity for purchases.
In my experience I was not levied any charges at all by the ATM provider for using their machines. I used Commonwealth Bank, ANZ, Westpac, St George, NAB and Bendigo Banks machines and I was not levied any charges for using them.0 -

Quite a lot of ATMs do have charges though. But thinking about it, I think it was mainly on my Australian debit card (like trying to use a HSBC card in a Santander ATM). It was always easy to find an ATM that didn't charge for my British cards.
Some definitely do charge though. The normal convenience store ones charge, and I'm pretty sure a major bank did as well - possibly BankWest?0
