Tied into LPG supplier, after 1 change. Unable to change, and now threatened by neigh

I know this sounds a little ridiculous, but in our area, we are tied into the same LPG supplier as neighbours, only complete agreement from all, can move us again.
We have changed once at neighbours request, and unsurprisingly the costs grew huge, all the prices increased.
This time, our circumstances are different, we don't have the money to easily pay off the outstanding balance again, and start again with the previous firm.
Today a new neighbour of a few months, who we had not met, came and threatened us, for not changing, saying they will sue us for the increased costs they will have. We have lived here several years.
What do we do, ill health is causing problems already. I cannot cope with the worry
Should I go to the police? I think I will phone our current gas company tomorrow, and possibly the proposed gas company.
Feeling really really upset about this.
