Tuesday 16th October - What small DFW things will you be doing today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:

Hi everyone,
We're quiet again today!
Thanks for starting us off Ziggy, & yes well done on the weight loss, very inspiring!
La e - You're doing so well lately, & what great news about starting a yoga club on your lunchbreak! Talk about making the best use of your time & talents :T
DNMS - Good work with vodaf0ne, is it worth upping your contract slightly to include more minutes?
I had a major wobble last night, after an absolutely rubbish day I asked DH to order pizza...not only that but instead of doing the things I should be doing, I sat in front of the TV & Facebook all night!
I'm so angry with myself because I have now blown the grocery budget & thus failed the challenge, & I will have to play catch up tonight with an ever growing to do list.
Today I have/will:-- Food from stores
- Made use of free water & milk at work
- Free lunch leftover from a meeting, will keep my salad in the fridge for tomorrow

- Staying in for my lunchbreak to avoid spending
- Leftover pizza for dinner...
- Log calories using free app
- Charged phone at work
- Check online banking
- Surveys
- Declutter a bit & lots of flylady
- Heating off
- Daily clicks etc on Sw@gbucks
- Order sister's birthday prezzy with Am@zon code thanks to nectar points & getting it delivered straight there to save postage costs

- Post update on grocery challenge thread
- Study
- Free exercise on my pole if there's time...
- Decide if I want to apply for a job elsewhere...very similar location, a nice payrise, an extra day holiday...more varied tasks...I don't even know why I'm hesitating!

:starmod: Save 0800Buster to my mobile phone so I can call 0800 numbers free from my mobile. Done. Here's the site: http://www.0800buster.co.uk/ It's recommended by :money: I'm gonna use it once and then check with my mobile provider to make sure it works before I use it loads! Read the disclaimer before you use it.
:starmod: Checked here to see if I have any forgotten UK bank accounts that I could cash in on. http://www.mylostaccount.org.uk/ Done. This is a FREE service operated by the British Bankers’ Association, the Building Societies Association and National Savings and Investments. If you think you may have lost touch with your account or savings, this website will guide you through some simple steps to help reunite you with your money.
:starmod: Tell friend about free BT directory enquiries for people who are unable to read or hold a telephone directory due to illness or disability. Done. You get an application form from 0800 587 0195. The form needs to be countersigned by a doctor or other medical practitioner.
:starmod: Signed up for mystery shop on Friday. Done.
:starmod: Read papers online. Done. From Dec 2012 women can no longer be charged lower car insurance premiums than men. So all we girlies might need to plan for this increase.
