The OP cannot go out for a week at a time...looking out for the postie when your expecting important stuff shouldn't be too hard surely?

Seriously???? The OP has stated they suffer with severe depression. From experience, when depression is bad all you can do is hide under a duvet in the bottom of the wardrobe praying tomorrow will be better. Sounds as if they need a bit of understanding here.

Please OP contact the Citizens Advice Bureau who will be immensely helpful. Also see your GP, you should be getting some professional support, not being left to cope alone.

I would have thought if someone else had used your credit card, the very least crime is theft? They have also ordered goods in your name and, again, would that not be classed as theft and fraud?

Maybe you could also get in touch with your delivery office at royal Mail and you can arrange to collect your mail; explain what is happening and they will try to reach a solution with you.

Write yourself a list of what you have to do. Please get some help.

    Best wishes :)

Mail collects cannot be arranged at delivery offices

  • After you've reported it to the police, OP, I would think that the 'Debt Free Wannabee' board on this website (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=76) would be a good place to ask for advice about the debts.... not because they're yours but because there are lots of users that will know what letters, etc., you should send to the alleged creditors asking them to prove the debt is really yours. Once the creditors fail to prove it's your debt, hopefully they will leave you alone.

Can they even pass it to a debt collector when the debt is in dispute and a complaint has been raised and speaking to fraud team? Getting calls and letters from a debt collector saying they will doorstop collect(which I know isnt legal)

No, they can't. Send the bank a short letter, heading it 'ACCOUNT IN DISPUTE' Tell them you'll do all you can to help them investigate the fraud.

If you then get any letters from debt collectors, just send them a copy of the letter.

But you MUST put this in writing to the bank first to get the DCA off your back.

Ask the bank where and when the transactions took place, hopefully you will be able to prove you were never in those places.
