WHO is my Home Phone service provider?

Signed my mum upto OneTel last year, switched myself to TalkTalk this year and did the same for my mum, her account was activated last month, I then got a letter of TT saying that I'd cancelled my account (rung them up and they don't know why/who/etc), I think that someone has rung and offered my mum another service and she's just agreed, her english isn't brilliant and I think some cold callers take slight advantage of this. Anyway rung OneTel and it's not them, is there a way to find out who it is?
Really annoyed by this and it's not the first time I've had this problem too - I have explained to my mum before never to agree to anything but maybe cold callers are getting cleverer, but guess this is for the Vent board.
Anyone offer any help? Or suggestions? Had nothing in the post in writing either, will BT be able to tell me?

only a guess - read another thread about cold calling harassment, or what about those guys doing 'surveys' in the supermarket. Whoever it is, they should show themselves soon. Can you instruct Talktalk to re-transfer the account?0

Cheers, think so but just wanted to make sure no-one else was acting as my call provider, TalkTalk seem to think that there might be and I do too as it's the only reasonable explanation as to why someone has instructed them to cancel the account - but thinking a bit further don't know how I could cancel it as it was a 12 month contract (think so anyway)2p off is still 2p off!0
