Sky chasing me for money I don't owe them

I ended my contract with sky after the initial contract period. They asked me to leave my direct debit on for 2 more months then so that they can take my bill amount completely. Fair enough.
6 months on, they were still taking money from my account. Partly my fault for not noticing this sooner. I promptly cancelled my direct debit and called them to refund my money. They apologized and assured the matter would be sorted....
1yr on, they are still sending me letters for money! I am so annoyed. I am a busy mum and I have better things to do than stay on their 0844 line burning money waiting for them to answer my call....
I am so annoyed....can anyone please suggest what I need to do?
I called them 4 times until now, every time they tell me they will sort it out.....

How did you end your contract? You need to provide notice of your itention to leave, and 30 days after that services are shut down and final bills calculated. If you did not tell them you wanted to leave, then the service continues as before.
What are they charging you for? As the next pile of letts will be from their DCA.0
