cardiff itself is wonderful, there doesn't need to be anything on in Cardiff as there is plenty to see there, check out where the travelodge is as it may be too far out of Cardiff, try to get a hotel in Catherdral road instead, it's a 10 min walk into cardiff centre from there
you could try Bath as well, again loads to see and do
as for Bristol, really only shops there, Bath and Cardiff have so much more to offer sites wize
but as you are in Pembroke, what about taking the ferry from Fishguard to Ireland for a night or two?0 -
thanks for your reply
i would go to ireland but we are all seasick we travelled to france a couple of years ago and it was horrendous and we vowed never to do it again !! lol
we might go to cardiff i know that the travelodge central is available

not only is the shopping excellent in Cardiff but the castle is amazing too, you could also do a trip out to castle coch if you want.
if you are going by train just check that the train from swansea to cardiff if running as I have a feeling that it's closed for repairs0 -
how about checking out the Millenium Centre at Cardiff Bay? usually plenty on there
