It's a Blackberry Playbook. Waiting 36 months for it to become unfashionable isn't necessary - it already is.

It's not about the product, it's about the principle of no quibble replacements. In theory I should get any current 64gb tablet.

From reading my policy for my printer the replacement is up to the original price paid, so you wouldn't be able to break a £130 tablet and have it swapped for a £400 just based on spec. You would be able to swap it for another £130 tablet or use the money towards the cost of an alternative. I'm not sure what would happen if there was no alternative and you refuse to pay more. I was lucky with my printer that it was only a £5 difference and the manager discounted that but I can't see them doing it for a much more expensive tablet.

Have heard rumours that the up-to-the-price thing may be changing, so you never know...

No whats likely to happen is that they reject your claim based on the fact it is an old model and resort to a partial refund of £4.75, it's value in 3 years time. They are very good at getting out of these things.
  • Don't think I'll bother then. After all £32 is 25% of the purchase price. I'll take the risk.
