Council Tax - Single Person discount

Hi all,
I just wanted to know the flexibility on the rules for single person discount for council Tax.
I will be living by myself but I may rent out one of the rooms if money becomes a little tight.
Would it be wise to apply for the discount and let the council know if my circumstances change?
Thanks,
Vincent

Yes, that is precisely what you should do.0

Yep that's what you should do. Did exactly the same thing in my new house. I went on the 25% discount but then I got a lodger, so told the council so I don't get the 25% discount now.0
