Tummy Tuck

Has anyone had this surgery before and if so were the results as you expected.

Ive done quite a bit of research through the internet but will speak to my doctor in the near future. I just wanted other people's views on this.

Thank you

    Hi Ella,

You should get more help with this on the Health and Beauty board so I'll move your thread over there.

My mum had one about five years ago as she had a lot of loose skin from pregnancy (years before!). It cost £5000. She has a very high pain threshold and often has dental treatment without being numbed etc. However she suffered a lot of pain for three weeks afterwards and for her to say that it was almost unbearable it must have been pretty bad.

The surgery looked very good afterwards, a washboard flat tummy and no visible scar really, her tummy is still very tight and flat but ... all the fat cells that used to live on her tummy have had to move somewhere and her hips are now visibly a lot larger in proportion to the rest of her body (she's a pretty perfect size 10/12).

Having said all of that about pain and stuff I would still have one if I could afford it as I have a lot of excess skin on the tummy too.
