Is it Legal to Work for Another Employer During My Christmas Holidays
Comments

I'm not sure of the legalities of it, but I used to work in a hospital (37.5hrs) and if you did bank shifts they wouldn't let you do more than 22.5hrs even if you were on annual leave as it would take you over the working time directive. Likewise they wouldn't pay holiday pay (accrued in a ration with bank hours) in a big chunk if it took you over the 60hrs per week rate. So it might be worth checking out how much you could work extra.0

I can't see how you can enforce such a contractual condition to be honest, as there has been no loss. Well, other than by sacking. In fact such a contractual obligation may even be considered an "unfair contractual term", and therefore be illegal in itself.
The ones that say you must not work for a competitor for a certain length of time *AFTER* working for them make me laugh, as clearly the contract has ended regardless and the employer has no possible means of recourse.Wanted a job, now have one. :beer:0
