Is this the Alt-A time bomb finally exploding?
In all seriousness I think you need a lesson in house price basics. Just because the selling price is 20% below the original asking price doesn't mean there has been a crash, it just means the seller held unrealistic expectations, and has had to adjust to reality.
Probably had no viewings for six months, and had to post a "house on market for 6 months - why won't it sell" thread on the other board, wading through tens of ridiculous replies about he photos being too dark before until it finally hit home that the Wendy house estate agents had given an over optimistic valuation to drum up business.0 -

Brit's chance to buy - CAN you buy at Argos with only a paypal account?Under no circumstances may any part of my postings be used, quoted, repeated, transferred or published by any third party in ANY medium outside of this website without express written permission. Thank you.0 -
I'm selling up now before Brit's ripple effect wipes me out.
It's Wendy Houses now but that's just the start. The ripple will cause the price of tents to fall, then camper vans, garden sheds and, before you know it, it'll lead to £54m London apartments halving in value.
Of course, it's early days.0 -
