Where can I buy gluten-free tagliatelle?

Not money-saving but ....

I'm trying to find gluten-free tagliatelle in shops around Belfast to no avail. All the big supermarkets stock gluten-free pasta but not tagliatelle.

Does anyone know where I can find some within easy reach of Belfast?

Thanks.

I don't want to have to order pasta online, I'd much rather buy it in a shop when I need it (as it's not even for me, it's for my Dad).

  • Have you tried Natures way at Ballyhack? I live in there they seem to stock most things!

Forgive me, but you do realise that tagliatelle is just one of about 100 different forms of pasta, don't you?

They may look different but are all made from the same ingredients before being crafted into the vatious different shapes.:)

Really? I would never have known.

Like my original post said, I'm looking for tagliatelle, not spaghetti, fusilli, tortellini, rigatoni, farfalle, fettuccine or any other shape of pasta.

It's for my father who I will be visiting shortly who is unable to trail around shops looking for his favourite shape of pasta as he has limited mobility following recent spinal surgery. Given the state that some parcels arrive in, ordering fragile tagliatelle online is a last resort.

I can see his face now (as I promised to do my best to find him gluten-free tagliatelle) when I turn up with a bag of conchiglie.

  • Daft question but is it not available via the prescription service that Coeliacs can avail of?
  • Here's a recipe to make your own gluten free pasta which you can cut into strips for tagliatelle. :)

Depends what he wants to use it for.

Maybe he would be more prepared to try something similar than you imagine (but no, not the one you have suggested).

I would think the same would be available in the rest of the UK - free on Rx if he's in Scotland/Wales and in England if he's ever 65.
