Hi There
We are doing up our new house on a very small and strict budget and we need to install a new front room thermostat to replace the current very outdated one. We have been shopping around and we think we would like to get one that looks very simple, digital, smallish and has learning facility, we have seen a couple on amazon such as this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Battery-Room-Thermostat-Heatmiser-PRT-B/dp/B005KRN2W6/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_nC?ie=UTF8&coliid=I24ZXVKQ5G3CO&colid=2L2WE6HG1EWLZ
has anyone bought one cheap lately or seen a deal on these anywhere, I know theyre only about £50 but right now that is a lot of money to us so we want to find a bargain, £30 for a decent unit would be much better.
Thanks in advance

Replaced an old thermostat with one of these made by Honeywell, simple two wire connection and works very well, £34.98 in B&Q.

You can buy a normal room stat for about £15 but unfortunately you are asking for a programmable stat which are a lot more expensive, you also need to be careful of the kind of stat if you are using the same wires as the old one, as room stats can be 240v, 24v, 12v or volt free & if you new stat is volt free or low voltage & your existing wires are 240v then you will just fry it as soon as you switch it on, I would just go for a like for like replacement atm & when funds allow go & get your programmable one.I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
i had one of these

It worked very well indeed.
I then swapped it out for the same but wireless but it didn't work properly!0 -
