Renting help

Hello all..

Anyone that could help would be great...

First of all im 24 years old..

I earn at the moment £21101 pound.. in full time perm employement for last 4 years...

I am looking to rent a flat.. my first flat... I have found a few I like..

Only problem is they are all with agencies.

When I was 19 I entered into a trustdeed (scottish IVA really) it is almost a year completed and I have been discharged although my credit is a mess for another 2 years till everything falls off..

I had 19 credit accounts which are all at default.. do you think i have any chance in hell of being accepted.

I have deposit and wage slips that can prove my wages and that I can afford it...

I have more than learned my lesson from my stupid stupid mistake as a teenager and will never get in a mess but is my life further on stop untill the 6 year mark???

thanks

I believe (please correct me if I'm wrong) that Letting Agency references only see public information (like CCJs). I'm not sure whether a trust deed gets recorded as public information but you can check what is listed on your credit report.

I don't think LAs can see defaults.
