need help advice.

A quick summary just need some info hopeing someone can help.
about 3 years ago had some facia and soffits done by local firm. 2 and half years later half of them are rattling like mad. Supossibdly accoridng to the sale notes and info from firm. The instllation has a 10year guarantee and goods have 20. Now that I have na issue the firm in question are being total pain. Refusing even to come nad look at it unless I pay a building surveyor to inspect it and say there is a fault.
However checking their company gurantee T&C nothign says about hainvg to prove at my cost. You would think they would just visit and check it out but the owner is being a £$"$"£% and is just putting hurdles to get out of it.
I woud think items like this whcih suppose to last a long time after two years become faulty thats mroe than in resonable time they should repair them. One thing I cant find on the sale of goods and services act is a clear line as to if I have to pay to prove the fualts. Or since it is under warranty its down to them to inspect at their charge.
Can anyone advise but this is becoming critical as each time it gets windty the children get scared and wake up in middle of night due to the rattling.

If the original work has not been tampered with then I would presume it's their responsibility to put the job right.

With a warranty you have to follow their procedure. Under SOGA however you will have to get an independant expert to verify the fault, you can claim the cost of this back if the goods are faulty. If the problem is SOGA related you would be able to make them fix it and refund any costs involved.
It may mean a trip to the small claims court, but if they don't want to come and inspect it for free then there is nothing you can do about that.0 -

Forget the warranty.
Get an independent report and send it to them via registered post. Explicitly state you are requiring a repair under the Sales of Goods Act 1979.
Once you get the repair sorted you can chase them for reimbursement. Keep a copy of the original letter so if you had to go to court you can prove you was not claiming on the warranty/guarantee.0 -
