Searched everywhere for this on forum, but can't find it, so forgive me if it's been covered and I've missed it. Where's the best place to buy euros at the moment? Off to Spain on Thursday, and need maximum pennies for the sangria . . .!! THANKS

Just ordered mine from the Post Office, they don't charge any commission.
Pay by cash to save any card charges0 -
You should get yourself a Nationwide card ... they don't charge for withdrawls overseas and have a pretty good rate too .........click HERE for further details and links .... it's a similar thread so should give you some ideas.
HTH:)I can say whatever I like here ... 'cos no one can see me .. ner ner ner ner ner !!!....How do you know I ain't sitting here butt naked?!?!I thunk I've made you think for a minute!:j :rotfl: :j0 -
I looked into this a few months ago by pricing up many alternatives, best I found was preordering over the internet with travelex, though the problem is the limit on your debit card (usually 250),and if you use a credit card then you are charged for it. The no commission thing is a red herring as they all quote different ratesAha, so thats how you do a signature!0

most of the time, agents who 'dont charge commission' end up giving you poor exchange rates, also, never buy euro's from your travel agent, they'll give you a really bad exchange.
HOWEVER, i found that compared to the post office, marks and spencers's rates were slightly better. M&S also dont charge commision, but there rates are decent.
