"payment break plan"

I've recently noticed on 2 of my barclays credit cards that I have been paying for a payment break plan. I don't remember asking for this and when I cancelled it the call taker was quick to insist it wasn't PPI. Is it the same thing and should I try to claim some money back????

It's not PPI and probably not insurance as such.
The FSA predicted that 'products' like these would emerge as a replacement for PPI. Read from paragraph 3.4.4 here http://www.fsa.gov.uk/static/pubs/other/rcro12.pdf
If you think you've been mis-sold it you need to complain and claim back the payments + interest.0 -

My husband successfully reclaimed payment break plan as it was not on the original credit agreement and barclaycard couldn't provide me with evidence of having agreed to have it on the account, we got around £2k back so if you think you were mis sold its worth a go I would say.0
