Moving to Mid Wales

We are looking to move 30 miles south to Mid Wales for work and have started to look for houses. However there are plans for substantial pylons along multiple routes to be built in the next few years and they have yet to announce the route corridors. The property prices in the area do not appear to have reduced at all over the last 12 months (property bee) and we are uncertain how to approach this risk. They may make an announcement in the coming months which may affect local prices and we could wait until Christmas until moving if necessary. I just have no idea what this kind of construction project will have on local prices.
Any advice?

The routes are still under discussion as you are aware - why not rent for a year anyway ? Some great places to live round here but dont underestimate the travelling if you go rural - PM me if you have any spesific questions re schools etc0
