Just sold an Item on ebay but someone wants to offer me more

Why just an Ebay id, it says a fair amount about the person too.amibovvered wrote: »If you are an eBay seller, do let me know your username so I can avoid buying anything from you!.0 -
I would be a bit sceptical about this offer anyway. Are they aware that they are offering £100 over what it went for ie is it another eBay user? They could tempt you with any offer over the amount it went for....£100 seems excessive. They could be planning to scam you tbh.I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

By waiting until the auction is over, they are forcing you to do the deal outside of eBay - so buyer protection won't apply.New to Ebay and have just sold an item which I am happy with the price. Someone who was bidding for it now wants to offer me more than £100 for what I sold it for.
I bet its a scam.
The first stage of most scams is to appeal to someone's greed, as here.0 -

Buyer protection isn't really an issue here though as OP is the seller.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Or dont post item, when seller 1 complains, just refund saying must be lost in post.
New users to ebay please note this post. It is due to some sellers believing this to be a clever or sensible way of doing business that we do still occasionally get neutrals/negatives and/or poor stars when items genuinely are lost.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Nice new avatar, Soo.
Agree with the post 100%.

Could be quite tricky that as It is a very big item and have stated collection only. Happy to follow the advice of the majority and give it to the winning bidder:D0 -

I don't think it is a scam as Buyer had already bid twice on it but as already stated will sell to winning bidder0 -
