I failed my ESA Medical but am on DLA so wanted to know does that affect DLA?
if you fail a medical so they then look at the DLA claim again? i failed a while ago but have never had anything from DLA to say they are going to look at that again.
some people have told me they dont but some have said they could do so im a bit confused.

It appears true some have lost their DLA from what has been posted.
It is also apparent that in cases where it is not lost straight away, at the next DLA review of those who lost ESA, they may lose DLA with the failure of ESA medical being cited as the reason.
However, I believe that BOTH possibilities depend if what was viewed in the ESA medical contradicts what is on the DLA form. For example, if someone had put on their DLA form they can't walk, and have to use a wheelchair all the time, then walk in the ESA room with a stick it would bring about suspicion.
Or if someone said they can't communicate then they were chatty at ESA, this would raise suspicion.
What some don't realse is they are being watched right from entering the building. So if someone is sat down waiting to go in, and during that time they showed no signs of their conditions and then upon entering the room they began to show signs of their conditions, they would likely have failed before going in, and the assessment would just be a formality.
It is also true that not everyone who has lost ESA has also lost DLA. To be honest, the cases posted on the net in various places would suggest it is not really commonplace for people who lose ESA to lose DLA so I wouldn't worry - if nothing you did at the ESA assessment contradicted your DLA claim then relax
I think only those who lose ESA and who have also contradicted what they put on their DLA form - and that contradiction is apparent at the ESA assessment - would be in the position of potentially losing their DLA.“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0 -

As above.. there is evidence to suggest it is possible... but probably not commonplace. I wouldn't worry.... I'd focus on your WCA appeal if that's what you've pursued."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0
