One-Eye

When i try to log in, after entering the correct username and password:-

1) If I do NOT tick the "Remember Me" box I get the usual "Thankyou for logging in One-Eye" welcome message and I am forwarded to the forum but I AM NOT LOGGED IN.

2) If I tick the "Remember Me" box I can log in normally.

This happens on 2 different laptops, each using both IE9 and Chrome so I think it is definitely an MSE problem.

Does it work OK if you try again now?

Reason being, there seems to have just been a glitch or something where no new posts were showing up for 20-30 mins or so.

THAT seems to have fixed itself now in the last few mins, so wondered if the 2 were related, and so whether your problem has now gone as well?

me too and when I did get in I was not one of the 2 people that were showing as being online in the forum.

Been trying to login since 5pm, typed in username and password about 10 times, just kept coming up blank, I thought i'd been ppr'd:eek: Finally I shut my computer down and rebooted, I don't know if that's the reason i'm now able to log in successfully, but here I am:beer:

Just tried again and it worked properly. It was the first time this has happened to me but see the first example in my post #1 - it has happened before, and more than once to other users.

smilies are a bit erratic and it keeps dropping capitals at random and inserting caps where I never put them

I had the exact same problem, it only actually logged me in when i ticked the "rememeber me" box, this was about 15 mins ago.

The same glitch - posts not showing up/forum not being updated - has happened several times in the last week.

At least once coincident in time to the links you gave.

So I think the 2 are related, and a result of a database problem at the time it happens.

Same here. I can only log in if I tick 'remember me'.
