tax renewal

i have just recieved a large payment of £522 due to my income for the year being alot less than previous years!! i have been on maternity!! has anyone else had large payments given after renewing taxcredits?

  • Yes it is quite a common occurence when your income is lower in one year than you had stated.

One day ..... you will receive your award notices, the final for last year and the ongoing for this year and this will explain things better.

£100 per week is disallowed for maternity. Therefore 37 weeks X £100 less, some people don't deduct this so are paid less.

Enjoy the refund espcially with a young one.
