Can I claim anything?

Hey Everyone!

I currently work as Care Assistant, My monthly wage after tax is £648.00
Out of this I need to pay

Rent - £63.50 Per Week
Water Rates - £29 Per Month
Council Tax - £58.00 Per Month

As well as my other bills, Gas, Electric, Food etc.

Is there anything I can claim to ease up on the bill demand a little?
Thanks!

How many hours do you do? Single, couple? Possible claim for working tax credits if enough hours. Housing benefit? Council tax benefit? Get a water meter?

Try for Working tax credits. Think you may qualify for those.
Also see if you can get any housing benefits?

Unless I've miscalculated (it is early!) you seem to be earning less than NMW.

and you only earn £648 a month? You would not have any tax taken off on that as it is less than £8,105 at £7,776 per year when divided by 52 then by 36 it's £4.15 per hour. How old are you?

£648 is your bring home pay.(I know thats not a lot). What is your income before tax?
And you should qualify for WTC as you are 25.
Good luck, hope you get some help.

Working Tax Credits..Looks like whoever you work for are not even giving you minimum wage.....You wont pay any tax or insurance on your income,(which looks like you dont anyway)...
Go on the turn2us website, put your details in and it will tell you everything you are entitled to.

That works out at about £4.50 per hour. How old are you?
