good idea-at a sensible price they would go -like hot cakes!:)globetraveller wrote: »the one thing that is selling right now- cupcakes? You can use your decorating skills there.0 -
i am only asking for about £4 and collection coz it is on a local page! x
I'm not going to be as brutal as Mildred - but a few things:
You have the punctuation, the writing and the centering of the text to deal with. The punctuation is highly important as it shows an overall image of 'attention to detail'.
The quality of the product, look at the one posted by SCO posted and the difference in quality with yours.
Also, even if they are local; I'm not sure even for £4 I'd want to go to someone's house to pick one of these up. You have to ask is it an item that someone would really want to drive or walk to in order to have.
Overall, making one thing to sell in bulk is only really the done thing once you have realised a market. If you do realise a market, attention to detail is 100% key, in all crafty things. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
May be they meant wooden cupcakes that you can hang on the wall rather than the food type.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Rightly or wrongly, most people are hanging onto their money these days and only buying useful or essential things. You only have to watch people in a supermarket to see that luxury or nick-nacky items are being passed by.
These items are essentially "ornaments", and sadly would mostly end up in charity shops, that's if you can persuade people to part with £4 in the first place. Even a wooden spoon decorated in some way that doesn't make it unusable for its purpose would attract more interest I feel, as that can be used.
Sorry to be blunt but honesty is the best policy, and if you are forking out for your raw materials you may just be throwing good money after bad.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

I have a great deal of experience with craft items but I am not naive, the market is saturated, I can see more than a dozen 'craft sites' advertised in my facebook selling page today alone- all showing a high level of skill- but with no real customer base.
Every man and ther dog makes things to sell, the trick is to find something unusual that people actually want, and the things I see selling are things that have a use , rather than just decorative bits and bobs.
Obviously I didn't realise that such comments are not considered useful, but I do fail to see how everyone saying 'ooh they are lovely' is any more helpful when the OP has admitted they do not sell.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I think you should create a facebook page for your crafts and learn to 'network' it's really good once you get the hang of it. You will meet lots of other craft-minded people and get to see what they make too which might inspire you.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

I guess we must look at different sites then because the ones that show up on my facebook page seem to be inundated with requests/orders.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--
