As the title says, I`d like to lock away £7k and add to it every month.. however not sure where to start!
Havent got an ISA - perhaps put a lump in there and open a savings account?

For the monthly additions, you might want to look for a regular-saver account - some pay quite high rates. See https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/608697
But you can't put a lump sum into those (or only by drip-feeding). An ISA would seem an obvious choice for (most of) that.0
