Are there companies that can take my furniture for a week or two?

Planning to redecorate our lounge and dining room and would ideally like to do both simultaneously. Only trouble is this means clearing them of furniture (as we'll be having new carpets as well as redecorating) and we have a lot of big, heavy items.
Is there such a thing as a company that will come round (removals style), take the furniture away, store it for a couple of weeks and then bring it back? Does anyone know if removal companies offer this sort of service?
I know it won't be the most MSE way to do it - I should hire a van and go for self-storage. But I've done up our house the MSE way and done all the work myself so for these final two rooms I deserve a treat that makes life easier.

Get a man/van (anyvan does a bidding system to get a good price) - and hire a self-storage "storage room". Get man/van to take furniture to your storage.... get him to return it. There's no other way to do it.0

Of course there is , a removal storage company will do this for you , theres nothing unusual in itVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0 -
Thanks both - I'll see if local removal companies will quote and how much that option costs.
I'll bear the man/van/self-storage option in mind in case the quotes just can't get past my brain's MSE filter.

I have just got a quote for a removal company to take away a large three pece suite, dining table and chairs and dining. Room side unit, store if for 2 weeks and then return it £750. It's an expensive option, but can be done!Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

that is expensive , how far are they travelling , and whats there storage charges per week?......Vuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0 -
£750 seems a bit expensive, but suppose it depends on area you live, distance to storage etc.
here in the north would not be that expensive.0 -
It's a local removal company. Storage is only £20 a week. I've had 3 quotes and they are all similar.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Sounds like you'd save a lot by just hiring a van yourself then and moving it to storage.0

Do you have a neighbour with a spare room who wants to make some ££?
I've offered my sister our spare room to store all her junk, I mean treasured items, while she sells her house. We rarely use it so it makes sense for both of us."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
as already said hire a van then book self storage. It's a local removal company. Storage is only £20 a week. I've had 3 quotes and they are all similar.
have you tried the small removal companies. my son has a removal van and no way does he charge those sort of prices.
not even for long distance runs does he charge £750.0
