Anyone know of a phone that has no vibrating alert, no custom ringtones or games?
Just been pondering my next Blackberry (currently 8520)
I just want improved camera suitable for holiday pics and posting on Facebook & 3G for You Tube streaming
Suddenly spotted Orange Barcelona (Blackberry alikey) which has 3.2 camera (fine for me) and 3G for £50
Even includes touch screen - Bonus!
Includes Accelerometer - Double Bonus !!
Android O/S - Triple Bonus!!!
Just about to buy it and spotted:
Vibrate Alert N
Downloadable Ringtone Capability N
Downloadable Arcade Style Games N
Are they serious?
Surely, a ringtone is just 'another' mp3??
Surely, 'a game' is just another java application??
And this is "An Android phone"!!!!!!
TBH I probably never use any of the missing features - but short of sabotage I cant see how they can omit these things from State of Art (???) mobile OS when these features have been box standard for any mobile since 1985 - which leaves me totally suspect about the whoooooole 'Android' O/S
What else is missing??????? Phone book??????? Calander?????? Alarm??????????
Anyone know of a phone that has no vibrating alert, no custom ringtones or games? (Bought after 1985 of course)

When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?

Why would a hardware manufacturer's decision to omit certain features "leave you totally suspect about a whoooooole" OS?There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

All of those things work, just in a slightly different way.
Tesco is wrong
Ringtones- Use any MP3 from your library through the system settings.
Vibrate- Certainly does.
Games- Off the Android market.

Hi have you got one of these phones? - I have triple-checked the spec on other sites and they all say the sameWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -
Not personally, but they're all bog-standard Android features (You can't be marketed as an Android phone without them), and I'm absolutely, totally certain they'll work

Tescos and 'Other' sites which don't sell just phones print all sorts of rubbish. Even phone selling sites print crap too
If you're concerned, drop into an Orange shop and ask for a play with one.
