Don't think you'll get more than 10% anywhere. Seems to be standard discount offered.

    Personally i wouldn't buy a Rolex online.

Do you think i should ask for 10%? The watch is £5600 and i would be happy to pay around the £5000 mark

Why on earth would you buy a new one?

Just pick up a mint used one. Theyre going for £4kish.

Then you wont lose any money when you get bored of it. No brainer.

A rolex is a great way to store £4k. If you buy a mint example and keep it that way it will appreciate.

Traditionally rolex increase the prices on sports models by 7 - 10% each year. This particular model was £5200 on the high street 2 weeks ago, now it is £5600.

The second hand price creeps up with it. I have a feeling there will be another little rise in the UK this year, pushing this one up to £6kish in the shops, and they'll be changing hands on the used market for £4.5k easily.

If oyu go to a dealer and try on a gmt2 ceramic you will see how easy it is to spend £4k on one. It is a stunning watch. Way more fun than leaving the cash in the bank.

Never knew the prices increased each year but i guess its a brand and an expensive 1. I can't see myself buying 1, would rather spend that amount of money on something else.

It is a lot to outlay for a piece of metal but like you say Rolex is a sought after commodity and if bought at the right price you can wear for free.

It probably wouldnt work if they didnt have a policy of annual price hikes.
