LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's economy shrank by 0.3 percent during the first three months of this year, official data confirmed on Thursday, leaving the nation in its second recession in four years.
Data from the Office for National Statistics also showed that the economy contracted at a faster pace than previously thought in the final three months of 2011, by 0.4 percent.

  • In the next few days we would have finishe Q2, will be interested to see what the data is.
I suspect things will of got no better and could be even worse going on what I am seeing.
And before anyone bites my head off, I "think" it will be bad news, I am not "wanting" bad news, big difference.

we shall see in about six weeks

This is quite interesting, for the past three months we have had endless posters(bull) telling us all how strong the economy is and what they are seeing is masses of money being spent.
Yet I make a prediction for the GDP for 2nd Qtr and all the bulls who normally jump on the bandwagon go quite:)

I have put my head on the block, or are they now waiting for the actual numbers to come out before taking a stance

I don't think I abused you or ranted at you. However, I will await your trusty interpreter to explain what you meant.
