Hi me and the kids went there in March for a weekend, there is a farm right across the road from Cala Gran called Farmers Parrs its only a small farm but my kids loved it and they have a cafe that does reasonably priced food. You can visit the farm cafe without visiting the farm too, the breakfasts are really good there. There is an asda in the centre of fleetwood too where you can pick up some food. xx0

Thanks for the info what's Cala Gran like??0 -
We went last July, Cala Gran is one of the smaller Haven parks but we really liked it. Theres an inflatable slide and trampolines for kids outside but no softplay or anything at that one. Theres an indoor pool with a slide and also one of the outdoor splash zones which will be open if the weather is fine.
There is a Mash and Barrel restaurant on site which usually has offers and the Spar shop.
Evening entertainment was good when we were there, Funstar shows and Live Acts they bring in
As previous poster said, I also definitely recommend Farmer Parrs. Good day out

Freeport shopping village is just down the road which will pass an hour or so ( next,m and s gap etc clearance shops)
How old are the children? For the pleasure beach it depends how old and what you all like to ride on. If like me, one of you don't like rides it would be cheaper to buy a walk on wrist bands which cost about £50 -
I assume you're already on your way to Cala Gran but here's a few thoughts to add:
- Normally I'd recommend public transport but you're going out of peak season so driving to and parking near the Pleasure Beach won't be a problem.
- If you don't want to use the car it's the number 14 bus - £9 buys a family day ticket for all Blackpool Transport buses and trams (NOT Stagecoach buses). A compromise would be to drive to Fleetwood, park up near the tram terminus (should be able to find a free spot) and use the tram - quick and direct.
- We went to the Pleasure Beach last week - had a brilliant day, everything was open but there were hardly any queues. Should be the same for you so go before the weather deteriorates again. (w/c 16th July will be a nightmare - lots of school end of term trips)
- For eating in the area Fleetwood has a Wetherspoon's and lots of traditional cafes, plus a McDonald's at Freeport, KFC in the centre (Lord Street) and several chip shops including my favourite, the Granada Bar. Thornton and Cleveleys both have plenty of takeaways and cafes, and the new promenade at Cleveleys is lovely.
Unfortunately Cala Gran is a bit isolated - to get anywhere except Farmer Parr's you'll need to drive or catch the bus.Long-haul Supporters DFW 120
