It deals with situations that can crop up in everyday life so it is likely that it will mirror or come close to some viewers experiences.
To be honest I only watched the first episode and it didn't live up to what I thought it would be. I spent the whole program waiting for it to take off and just found it a bit flat. Couldn't be bothered to stay up and watch it last night. Glad you are enjoying it though.The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0 -

How did the first one end? I fell asleep! Did David Tenant go off with his first love or stay with his wife and kids? (I know I could watch it on iplayer....)0

The way I see the program its shows that no matter how we can plan our life and the future,certain events can happen and change or try to change peoples lives, well thats how I see it0

he stayed with his wife.
I can't stand these programmes. They show the fickleness of so many people when it comes to the concept of 'love'. In the David Tenant one, it came to the sister of his 'first love' getting involved and suggesting to him that there was 'unfinished business'. She wanted her sister to be happy. The blinkered nature of this is what really gets me - because of course the reality is you would never want a sister who you loved to be with someone who was capable of walking away from 20 years of relationship to have an affair....But somehow we think that 'true love' cancels out years of respect and friendship and honesty and building a life together and it's OK to dump everything 'cos true love prevails....I suppose the idea was that 'true love' did prevail in that he stayed with his wife. But the reality is that is once you've had an affair, slept with someone else, lied to the person you say you love, the trust is inevitably gone and you're well on the road to divorce. But perhaps more importantly, I can't stand the assumption that the person having the affair is the one that gets to choose - it's not the case, is it? So many people hold up the their heads high and walk away once they know they've been cheated on. They are able to take back the power the other had over them when they do this. The person having the affair inevitably ends up...deflated? wonders what all the fuss was about? regrets their actions?
Bah humbug and all that! True love is nothing at all like it's been portrayed in these short 'films'.0 -
So far we have:
A man having a fling with his first love but staying with his family;
a bored married man getting conned by someone he has a fling with
and a teacher having an affair with a pupil...
It might not always fit with 'true love' but Id say it certainly fits with real life!Light Bulb Moment - 11th Nov 2004 - Debt Free Day - 25th Mar 2011 :j0 -
If it was real life the teacher would have been arrested for having an affair with the pupil! Have to agree with earlier posts about this series being crap!0
