Hopefully I can get some advice here.

Basically I have ordered polo shirts for a football club and asked for our club badge to be printed on the fabric. I was quite specific in my request that it had to match the one colour print of an existing polo shirt (I sent a photo) direct onto the fabric. The supplier said it could be done no problem. They then said that due to difficulty in seeing the detail they would recommend a two colour print which they sent me an electronic sample and I accepted.

The polo shirts arrived yesterday and they are a two colour print but on a white background which is not what I originally asked for and would not have accepted if I had known this was how it would turn out.

Do I have any rights of return and refund? Their website says no refunds on personalised items but I have not got what I asked for. They have offered me half my printing costs in return (approx £15 from a total £230 order).

It depends, if the proof you legally accepted is on a white background then they have fulfilled the contract. Any questions needed to be addressed at the time the proof was sent. It may have been understandable that you would expect a white background on the proof, as it had to come on a background, but if it's there then you are stuck.

Op, what colour is the shirt? Also what 2 colours did they show on the proof? Was white the 2nd or 3rd colour?

I'd say it depends. I'd expect to see the actual colour of the rugby shirt on the proof as the background so it shows the white print up. Also the proof should have stated the print colours. You can't really query a white print, if it's on white paper.
