My sons in the army, and has been told that he may possibly be medically discharged in the next few month. He injured his knee during basic training and its been getting progressively worse during phase 2.
Its not a permanent injury, but the specialist said it will take 12 to 18mths to fix, and basically the army wont keep him on light duties for that long. They want him to discharge get sorted an reapply in the future.
(Seems really unfair to me as he got the injury training, and I think they should sort him out, but thats another issue)
Basically I need advice on what he may be entitled to. How long do you have to have paid tax to get JSA?
What if he cant look for work due to his injury?
Thanks for reading
