i am helping my son get a claim in for mis sold PPI with barclaycard. anyone had any experiance with these people?? are we in for a bumpy ride?? i know that some banks are doing the decent thing but is barclays one of them???
a few questions here if you can help with these......
about 4/5 years ago, when he first got in trouble with the card, they refunded £208 to the card, which wasnt the full amount of charges on there, i think it was a token gesture. the total of charges on the card now, according to what i have work out, is almost £600 (and i have already taken off the amount they refunded) . this is more than he owes them!! and still paying by agreement. and then there is also the matter of almost £100 in PPI. (he cancelled that at some point, when he became self employed and it was racking up the bill each month).
NOW, a lot of the later charges are when they changed to charging £12. can we claim back on those?? are they likely to refuse?? its their charges that made his position almost unrecoverable.
its not an insignificant total amount: all guidance would be appreciated.

Put the mis sell claim in and then put a claim in for the charges as a separate claim.0
