Sliding Folding Door fault

Just after a little advice as to where to progress from the point we are in now. We had (at a cost of £4k) some sliding folding aluminum doors fitted to our house in 2010. Within 3 days of them being fitted it was apparent that there was something not quite right with them, the door wouldn't latch properly and the euro thumb turn cylinder lock was incredibly difficult to operate.

The fault was reported and the company popped out and provided a fix that on the surface seemed to work, since March this year the fault has returned along with one of the double glazed units blowing a seal and all the rubber gaskets shrinking. In early April 2012 I emailed them under direction from them to highlight the problem. After no contact and much chasing from me they finally send a chap round in early May who tried to resolve the issue with the lock for 2 hours but couldn't, he confirmed that the gaskets and the DG unit needed faulty and stated that the 3 point door mechanism would either need stripping and rebuilding or replacing entirely.

I then spoke to the company the next day who informed me that they would organise for the issue to be resolved and be in contact to arrange access. 2 weeks later I still have no contact from them so called them, leaving a message that I was getting rather fed up, had spoken to TS (which I had).

Next thing I have a chap calling me irate telling me Its my responsibility to get an independent report stating what is wrong with the door and then and only then will they do anything on it. He had no idea of the history of the issue and was pacified when I asked him why I needed an independent report when one of his own employees had visited site and stated what was wrong with it.

The doors as they stand right now are inoperable as we cant turn the euro thumb turn on the inside and the use of a key externally would result in the key snapping.

To date, I have logged all my calls and the outcome along with today sending them a letter requesting that the fault be rectified within 21 days.

Is there anything else I can do or expect ?
