Nice hotel in London required

Ok.. so I've had a search and really like the Apex Hotel by London Bridge. That whole modern, luxury look - no flowery walls etc. Looks lovely.
Ideally we want to stay over a Fri/Sat and Sunday night. But Sunday is more than the other two nights put together!!
Does anyone have any other lovely hotels to suggest where prices for the three nights would be under £300?? Continental breakfast would be a bonus
Looking for somewhere with lovely rooms (travelling by train).
Other than that, willing to consider other interesting UK cities???
If it adds up to more than £400 then we may as well look at a break abroad (except I'd have to renew my passport which will cost about £60)
Any suggestions for my wedding anniversary??

It's tricky getting boutique-style hotels for less than £100 a night in London... but here's a few:

The Hilton Metropole often has decent rates:

Thanks mixu :T - that's exactly the type of hotels I've been trying to look for!!:T
Hmmm, the Southwark Rose looks lovely, as does The Main House. But the Hoxton looks cheaper.
Any thoughts on location to general London sightseeing/dining?working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

Thanks. Wasn't really favouring the look of the rooms there anyway. Price was the only thing putting it in the running
Thinking of Southwark Rose now. Just need to make sure I'll have enough in my budget....(What can I ebay....:D)

Southwark Rose is good, not far to the river and bus RV1 is near.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Thanks, just worked out which one it is now
So there appears to be just £40 difference in total for the three nights stay between Apex and the Rose.
Mind you... I forgot breakfast, so it's £40 more and we'd have to buy breakfast too. Hmm. Looking like the Rose thenworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
