KGB Expired Voucher Help Please?!

Help please?!
I bought two vouchers from KBG in December for a manicure and pedicure for a shop in Liverpool, one for myself and one for a friend. I began calling the shop from the end of February to end of March and could not get through to make appointed and I also visited the shop on a couple of occasions, but they were closed each time I went. The vouchers expired on 27 March 2012 so I contacted KGB by email after 27 March 2012 to tell them I could not get in touch with anyone at the shop and then by telephone (after searching for their telephone number) to ask for my money back but they just keep fobbing me off saying the vouchers have expired and it is not their problem. Surely it is their problem as I bought the voucher from them? Is this covered by the Sale of Goods Act? There is nothing on the voucher telling me what to do if I can't get in touch with the merchant.:(
