Is it possible to split the sound off a stero into 2 sets of speakers?

Hope someone can help,

I have a cd player in my kitchen which has 2 speakers coming off it (it's quite powerful one). Now my downstairs shower room in next door and i've just bought 2 bathroom speakers (water and steam proof).

What i'm asking is, is it possible to have a switch or something that can divert the power to either set of speakers so when i'm in the kitchen those speakers will be on and when in the shower the bathroom speakers be on.

I know i could plug the bathroom speakers in the back of these v(after checking power output etc) but i would like them not to be on at the same time if i can help it.

Any help be great
